  • Hello,

I am using splix 2.0.0 with my clp300.

I have installed ppd for samsung printers.

The driver is improved a lot: thank you for your work.

I have some problems with colors, printing test page I notice that:

    - grey is produced with color inks (I prefer to use black ink to save money);

    - looking at the color wheel I can see colors are not good: blue is too dark, gradients are not uniform.

Am I doing something wrong? Can I change some option to improve color rendering?

Thanks in advance for any reply!

    Mario

Did you installed and used the color profile for your printer?
I invite you to read the INSTALL file to know how to install correctly the color profile file.
Tall me if it's better after that.
      Regards,

      Aurélien

    • Yes the ppds I have installed are the ones specified in the INSTALL file.

I mean I have followed the instructions of the INSTALL file, so I suppose all is right.

I can say that in 1200x600 the situation is a bit worse that 600x600.

How  can I help? Can I send you a scan or a photo of my print?

      Thanks again!

      Mario

I'm pretty sure that there is a problem with the color profiles. Please set the LogLevel to debug in the cupsd.conf, relaunch cups, print something and send to me the /var/log/cupsd/error_log file.

    • Any news?

Sorry if I annoy you but I am very interested to know if there are bugs in my configuration.
