I've just installed splix in a debian squeeze armv5tel box to print with a Samsung ML-1640. The debian splix deb package is v2.0.0 (in squeeze). When using it through CUPS I just get black-grey-white horizontal lines when printing the test page. Note: every time I print the test page I get a slightly different black-grey-white-lines pattern.
The printer is ok: reverting to the gdi driver for ML-1610 it prints well (even though at limited resolution of 600dpi).
Addtional information: I'm sharing the printer through SAMBA and I experience no issue in using it through splix from my laptop (Ubnutu 9.10 amd64, splix v2.0.0-2ubuntu2). The splix driver works like a charm. As far as I understand the issue I experience could be either a build problem of the debian squeeze armv5tel package or a bug in splix sources for ARM architecture .
: I can't see reports here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=splix;dist=unstable#_0_4_4
: I can see a couple of closed ARM-related bugs here:
