Hello Albert, sounds interesting but at the moment we do not have pixel or vertex shader in the game (of course it is on the dev list). It compiles and works under Debian Linux 5.0.4 and Arch Linux. I gave a quick spin to the SC Boxer, and as a human driver I do not feel it became much slower. So Ithink this version can be released as 1.4.0. P. s: Sorry for the late answer, but I was on holiday in the past 2 weeks. I travel back to Heidelberg tonight, so if the meeting is today, I will miss it. Kristof |

Hi, Has anyone thought of the possibility of representing slipstreaming in speed-dreams? I've seen some racing games show the slipstream effect as a "air blur" or "aura effect" around the car in front when the car behind is slipstreaming or drafting. Any comments? Cheers, Albert. |

Hi Haruna, thanks for your feedback. I designed it to fit in the TRB1 series. For that i used a lot the sponsor logos you designed. That helps a lot :) Zitat von Haruna Say <ato...@gm...>: > Hi Eckhard, > > On Tue, Apr 6, 2010 at 4:22 PM, <ba...@ne...> wrote: > >> They look really great, you have to check out the SC Cavallo 360 and the >> TRB1 Vieringe 5 RB. >> > > Sorry for taking so long to reply. > > I checked out the cars and the Vieringe/car8 is love <3 > > Cheers > Haruna. > |

Hi all, today i checked the first 2048 reworked cars with sources in, that means: - they use backed shadows for a more realistic look - texture is 2048x2048 - wheel texture size is 1024x512 They look really great, you have to check out the SC Cavallo 360 and the TRB1 Vieringe 5 RB. I checked the GIMP sources in too (*.xcf.bz2 could be opened directly in GIMP), so who would like to know how these skins works or like to create an additional car skin can do so. Cheers Eckhard. |

Tortoise SVN takes smartly care of this under Windows, but under Linux, my SVN clients (command line ones included) also behave that strange way ... I have to delete manually the "SVN deleted" folders after "svn rm"ing them. Please, try do simply remove them (rm -fr or rmdir or so), and then run an "svn update" in the parent folder ... they should not come again. Cheers, Jean-Philippe. |

hi all, I wanted to update my SD installation from the old to the new trunk. So I did a great svn up trunk and it updated for two hours. All ok so far. the new installation method made be a bit worrying whether I could do that. I installed cmake. but now cmake cries that I don't have sdl-libs. But I do! seba@Sebastian:~/speed-dreams/trunk$ cmake . -- The C compiler identification is GNU -- The CXX compiler identification is GNU -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- works -- Detecting C compiler ABI info -- Detecting C compiler ABI info - done -- Check for working CXX compiler: /usr/bin/c ++ -- Check for working CXX compiler: /usr/bin/c++ -- works -- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info -- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info - done -- Looking for include files HAVE_INTTYPES_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_INTTYPES_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_MEMORY_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_MEMORY_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_STDINT_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_STDINT_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_STDLIB_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_STDLIB_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_STRINGS_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_STRINGS_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_STRING_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_STRING_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_SYS_STAT_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_SYS_STAT_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_SYS_TYPES_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_SYS_TYPES_H - found -- Looking for include files HAVE_UNISTD_H -- Looking for include files HAVE_UNISTD_H - found -- Looking for strndup -- Looking for strndup - found -- Looking for XOpenDisplay in /usr/lib/libX11.so;/usr/lib/libXext.so -- Looking for XOpenDisplay in /usr/lib/libX11.so;/usr/lib/libXext.so - found -- Looking for gethostbyname -- Looking for gethostbyname - found -- Looking for connect -- Looking for connect - found -- Looking for remove -- Looking for remove - found -- Looking for shmat -- Looking for shmat - found -- Looking for IceConnectionNumber in ICE -- Looking for IceConnectionNumber in ICE - found -- Found X11: /usr/lib/libX11.so -- Looking for sin in m -- Looking for sin in m - found -- Looking for XShmCreateImage in Xext -- Looking for XShmCreateImage in Xext - found -- Looking for IceSetIOErrorHandler in ICE -- Looking for IceSetIOErrorHandler in ICE - found -- Looking for SmsSetErrorHandler in SM -- Looking for SmsSetErrorHandler in SM - found -- Looking for XtDisplay in Xt -- Looking for XtDisplay in Xt - found -- Looking for XOpenDevice in Xi -- Looking for XOpenDevice in Xi - found -- Looking for XmuSimpleErrorHandler in Xmu -- Looking for XmuSimpleErrorHandler in Xmu - found -- Looking for XF86VidModeSetViewPort in Xxf86vm -- Looking for XF86VidModeSetViewPort in Xxf86vm - found -- Looking for XRenderSetSubpixelOrder in Xrender -- Looking for XRenderSetSubpixelOrder in Xrender - found -- Looking for XRRQueryVersion in Xrandr -- Looking for XRRQueryVersion in Xrandr - found -- Looking for dlopen in dl -- Looking for dlopen in dl - found -- Found plib: /usr/lib/libplibsg.so -- Looking for library plib/ul - found -- Looking for library plib/js - found -- Looking for library plib/sg - found -- Looking for library plib/sl - found -- Looking for library plib/ssg - found -- Looking for library plib/ssgaux - found -- Looking for library OpenAL - found -- Looking for library ALUT - found -- Looking for library ENET - NOT found -- Looking for library OpenGL - found -- Looking for library OpenGL/GLU - found -- Looking for libraries X11 - found -- Found ZLIB: /usr/lib/libz.so -- Looking for library Zlib - found -- Found PNG: /usr/lib/libpng.so -- Looking for library PNG - found -- Looking for include files CMAKE_HAVE_PTHREAD_H -- Looking for include files CMAKE_HAVE_PTHREAD_H - found -- Looking for pthread_create in pthreads -- Looking for pthread_create in pthreads - not found -- Looking for pthread_create in pthread -- Looking for pthread_create in pthread - found -- Found Threads: TRUE -- Looking for library SDL - NOT found -- Looking for current subversion revision : found '2.0-r2309' -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX -- Default install prefix : $CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX CMake Error at cmake/macros.cmake:713 (MESSAGE): Cannot find SDL header files Call Stack (most recent call first): src/libs/tgfclient/CMakeLists.txt:9 (ADD_SDL_INCLUDEDIR) -- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred! Hi Haruna, > The silence has taken over again... Nope :) we all have hopefully voted about the priorities of the development of SD 2.0 and awaiting the summery soon. Besides that i need a dev build of SD 2.0 to finish the last 2% (start lights, JPGs of large images) of my 4 tracks that are ready to rumble. This weekend i nearly finished the new TRB1 Vieringe car (just the driver driver texture needs a to be reworked): http://www.neeneenee.de/torcs-ng/trb1-vieringe-5gt.jpg I have rendered various flags for the location task of tracks. Soon i will submit templates and flags for cool pylons and track screens). Hi to whoever is still alive. The silence has taken over again... I scream out, hoping someone would hear. Has the drive to create SD2.0 finally died? Regards, Haruna. (ps. still refining LS1s for any survivors.) |
