Hi Jean-Philippe (and everyone else), > Yes. Once more the proof that it's better with 5 brains that with 2 ;-) I've worked with a lot of volunteer teams on various projects over the years, and the enthusiasm & real progress shown by NG's team far exceeds anything I've ever seen before. Let's keep it up :) > > Do you mean it'd be a pity to lose the old cars that aren't part of the TRB1, > > Supercars, 36GP or GP4 carsets? After all, > Torcs has been living with it for a long time ... Ok, if we're happy to live with "real names" for now, perhaps 36GP could be classed as a free carset after all :) > But: what is the GP4 car set ? A new one you've got in your cellar and were > hiding to us ;-? Hehe no, its the carset that Xavier recently got permission to port to NG ;) As for what's hiding in my cellar ... hmmmm, let's see. In various stages of completion is a Touring Car set, a GT3 set and a GT2 set (all have 3D models made, but need fine-tuning/balancing and robot setups plus nice textures). I also have preliminary 3D models for a GT1 and an LMP carset, plus a bunch of historics (both grand prix and LMP). > After some thoughts, I feel that may be we should keep the current rally car > set, even if it's not perfect ... no so bad after all, and we need it > to race on dirt tracks ;-) Ok, I agree - keep what's there for now. I _do_ have a new rally carset somewhere though. I released it a few years ago on my old website - I'm sure I have it backed up somewhere. cheers Andrew |
