This bug should be very easy to fix:

The GUI language is Dutch and I don't know how to
change it to English in Sodipodi. > so i don't know the
english interface names, anyway:

Use the tool [Teken nauwkeurig gepositioneerde kromme
en rechte lijnen] (in english probably "draw
high-precision curves and straight lines").
Then double click in the drawing field. It will produce
an error, closing it terminates the program:

** (sodipodi.exe:3520): CRITICAL **: file
\Lauris\sodipodi\src\helper\curve.c: l
ine 594: assertion `curve->hascpt' failed

    Same problem here.

    Version 0.34, running on Gentoo Linux

    When using the line-drawing tool and the time between two
    clicks is very short, the program segfaults. The critical
    error only sometimes shows up on the error log:

    ** (sodipodi:PID): CRITICAL **: sp_curve_closepath_current:
    assertion `curve->hascpt' failed
    ** (sodipodi:PID): WARNING **: Emergency save activated
