    Hi
I installed snoopy logger on a redhat-8 system. After installing it i installed squid ver 2.4.STABLE7-4. After configuring squid i tried to initialize it and i got the following error
2003/05/08 09:23:06| Not currently OK to rewrite swap log.
    2003/05/08 09:23:06| storeDirWriteCleanLogs: Operation aborted.
Probably squid has a problem with syslogd after the installation of snoopy.
After i removed snoopy from /etc/ld.so.preload and executed ldconfig squid started
I also had a problem starting the x-server after the installation of snoopy logger

Is there a way to fix those problems?

    ps
    excuse my spelling

    Thanx

I just had the same problem, with the 2.4 rpm and all 2.5 versions.  I found that a patch that I put into snoopy to not log processes (only users) fixed the issue, but still requires you to comment out some assertions in squid's StatHist.c.

I'm new to sourceforge, and haven't been able to contact snoopy's authors, so I'd appreciate some guidlelines on publishing fixes.
