Somehow, it looks like that html2text is a required dependency of the sendmail plugin. It seems to me that it should not be required. The module is expected to test for the availability of the binary and if not there, has a fallback that seems to fail generating valid emails.

  • Perhaps downgrade it to Recommended then?

It seems that at this point it is a must have dependency. Once fixed, then yes, we should mark that dependency as a Recommended item.

By default, the email should be sent as HTML and display correctly but it doesn't seem to work right. Probably because the headers are not correctly setup when only HTML is defined.

    • Honestly, I had view this as required and not just recommended. If
things are intended to be run through html2text in order to look right,
then it is required. Otherwise, the plugin should revert to text-only.
