I use smartmontools 5.39.1 with Samsung Spinpoint series disks (1.5TB)
smartd checks for attribute changes on a regular base, now I found this in
smartd: Device: /dev/sda [SAT], SMART Usage Attribute: 201
Soft_Read_Error_Rate changed from 253 to 100
[*] This happens every few hours
[*] the value won't change below 100
[*] after the disk powered off the attribute is back at 253
I wrote some sort of watchdog that monitors error messages, now I'd like to
get rid of smart messages with low interest (Temp change, Airflow Temp change,
and this Soft_Read_Error_Rate as long as it doesn't change below 100)
I already figured out this line in /etc/smartd.conf
DEVICESCAN -S on -a -I 194 -I 190 -m <myemail>,root@... -n standby -M
But how do I set the limit of 100 to Attribute 201?
Thanks for a hint!
