X25-* and 510 series don't support it. I'm not aware of any devices from other vendors supporting it. Device statistics is supported if log address 0x04 appears in 'smartctl -l directory' output (included in '-x'): # smartctl -l directory ... ... GP/S Log at address 0x04 has 8 sectors [Device Statistics] If you could test with the Intel 520, please provide a sample output with both device statistics and SMART attributes.
