I wonder whether smartmontools will support Dell PERC 5/i controllers under Windows in the future?
Right now I'm using consumer hard disks in a raid5 array. These drives do not enable cctl/erc out of the box.
The commands can only be set in Linux and do not survive a power cycle but do survive a reboot.
My server OS is Windows Server 2008 R2, so my goal is to set cctl/erc to 7 seconds.
To achieve my goal firstly I boot Linux from an USB flash drive to set the parameters for cctl/erc and reboot afterwards into Windows.

So I wonder if it will be possible in the future to boot straight to Windows and run the commands automated from a batch file.

Thanks for the great work.
