Under components/CDDLM is something to ping URLs for liveness, where liveness is defined as returning a response code between optionally specifiable min and max response values. It does the ping during the sfPing call; I plan to move to a fully async model later. There is also an enabled flag to turn the thing off; useful during debugging as its checks can get in the way of single-stepping through code: Example use: wsdlFetch extends LivenessPage { port PARENT:cddlm:port; page "axis/services/cddlm?wsdl"; checkFrequency 10; } I am debating letting you specify a reference that gets called after successful fetches, this would implement some interface that could be used for postprocessing of the content. for example, validating the XML. Should be useful for testing the jetty component, and anything else that serves up content. Once we host Axis under Jetty, the liveness page can hit axis' happyaxis.jsp, that verifies that axis thinks all is well. -steve |
