I am trying to install slashcode and I am using the SLASH book as an aid. I
completed the 'perl Makefile.PL Apache... part and that seemed to go ok.
After this step, the book says "finally use make to build, test, and install
Apache with mod_perl"
When I am in the path /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/unicode/mod_perl1.27 and I enter the
I get the following:

I just installed gcc, and I read some google posts that say you may need to put
it in a different path, but what path?
Right now if I search for "gcc", it's in /usr/bin/ and /etc/alternatives/ and
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is that the original poster did the perl Makefile.PL and *then*
installed gcc. He will have to run the perl Makefile.PL again and that
*should* figure out which C compiler to use.
If you can't get it working also try
and tell us the results.
PS This is an Apache question, not a Slash question.
