HI, So in order to create a new Section you also duplicate the corresponding templates you wish to customize under the new sections, I got that much. However does it work with ALL templates? like the userlogin, home page customization, slashbox selection, etc? Thanx RRK |

I'm getting unexpected behavior from new and altered templates. The latest happenings are very strange. I created new templates specific to a section (in this case a new dispStory and new display for a specific section). I can view the "correct" templates in one browser, but the other browser displays the "default" ones (same computer, same time, diff. browsers). Why is that? Also (less strange), there appears to be a lag time between the time I create a new template - and the time it actually starts appearing. Any thoughts on how to speed the "update" process along? It's hard to develop new sections when you get unpredictable results. Thanks, -jh |

You can either restart apache whenever you make big changes or turn caching off for slash (somewhere in variables).
