Hey guys, I know everyone reading this has probably had their trials and tribulations when installing and configuring slash. I also know that many of you have seen my "Install Slash for Dummies" guide. http://www.installslash.org In response to the great (and encouraging) feedback regarding the document, I decided to launch a website, and hopefully a community, that will contain all things regarding getting slash up and configured successfully. Of course I am in no way trying to take the place of existing methods of assistance, such as the official site (www.slashcode.com) and this mailing list, but I'm hoping an interactive alternative will be accepted. Thanks to everyone here for the help and insight you provide. I've been on this list for quite awhile and have learned much in that time. If you notice something in the Install document on InstallSlash.org that needs to be changed, updated, or something I haven't included, please let me know. It is only with this communication that we can get slash installed on every person's machine who wishes to do so. Regards, Evan Erwin http://www.installslash.org - Making Slash Happen |

That's both cool (that you're doing it) and uncool (that Slash installation is still so hard we need a third-party website full of advice on doing it). I don't see a license on the content you've got up... if we (the Slash programmers) browse your site and see good advice, do you mind if we steal/adapt it to add to our own INSTALL file? -- Jamie McCarthy http://mccarthy.vg/ ja...@mc... |
