#996 Same Adjective may cause problems

I just moderated "Linux and Scientific Computing"
(2197326) in the IBM thread. It was at +2 Insightfull
and I tried to moderate it to +3 Insightfull.
Instead, it seems to have been processed as -1
Overrated. I might have made a mistake; this is the
first time I've tried to moderate to the same
adjective. But I don't want to mess up the threads by
testing on the live system, so I'll just leave it to
you.

Also, why does it say, "Please Log In", below this
box? I am already logged in, by cookie.

I doubt this is a bug.

moderatorLog shows the comment was indeed
marked -1, Overrated. My guess is this user selected +
1, Insightful and then hit the up or down arrow in MSIE
without realizing MSIE keeps the menu selected and
uses the arrows to change what you picked.

The user's comment re "please log in" seems to be
    related to SourceForge not Slashdot.

I've seen this one before. It does occur, albeit rarely.
Basically, the option you select is what is done, but it
    tells you the wrong stuff.

I've never seen it happen that can't be attributed to
someone forgetting about their browser's focus and
tapping the arrow keys absent-mindedly. I did it myself
a lot before I figured it out. Since then, I've spent a lot of
mod points and never seen this happen. If I ever get a
really well-confirmed report of it, I can look into it, but
the code is very straightforward here, I can't figure how
this would happen, and I'm not going to spend hours
trying to chase it down. I'm setting this low-priority
"remind" until I see an explanation of how it could
possibly happen, or until I experience it myself :)

I haven't heard of this happening again and have never seen it myself. I still don't think it's a bug, it's just a result of MSIE (and Mozilla, I've noticed) popup menus stealing focus for subsequent arrow keys.
