This is SlackBot 2.0 including GNOME 2.26.3 for Slackware, Slackware64 and BlueWhite64 13.0.
SlackBot 1.0 for Slackware 12.2/Bluewhite64 12.2 and GNOME2.26.1 has been released today.
Since i have received some bugreports and also got some feedback from my bugzilla reports i think it is worth for a 1.orc3 in the next few days.
Until then do not use rc2 with buildmode "GNOMEM" or make sure you have manually added 'pulseaudio' to the list of packages to be installed, otherwise GNOME may fail to start. It does not help to add pulseaudio later because you must recompile gnome-settings-daemon to get pulseaudio support enabled.... read more

While doing the final build tests for SlackBot 1.0rc1 i decided to launch Trac on Sourceforge. Feel free to report bugs and feature requests about buildtools and the buildsystem to the Trac ticket system :)

GNOME 2.24.3 will be released on January 14th. The first updated source packages are on the GNOME FTP servers and i have started to include the packages into the buildsystem. Since the 0.9.7 release seem to have some problems there will be an updated buildsystem available in the next days... be patient...

While testing the official KDE4 packages and also KDE4 build from the official sources i noticed that sound isn't working here for all KDE4 related applications. It looks like the xine backend for phonon is not working well since the gstreamer backend works very well.
SlackBot, a script to install GNOME and other applications from source, has moved to SourceForge.net.
With the move the latest development files from SlackBot has been importet to subversion (see http://slackbot.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/slackbot/ for details).
