I have a report that has content edge to edge on 8.5" paper. When printing with Adobe Reader, the preview shows the content with a margin around the edges for the space the printer does not print and all the content is printed, albeit reduced. SKIM preview shows no merging and the edges are not printed.

  • the document pages have no edges, as you also say. So the preview is correct. If the printer does not print the edges, than that's a problem of your printer. If you ant edges, you should scale the pages to get them. BTW, the reason you see the difference is not the way it prints, but the settings you use: when you scale to fit (as Adobe seems to do by default), you will get the margins around the edges (there's also good reasons *not* to do that by default.) So it's a setting, which you can change, not a behavior. Last of all, printing is done by Apple, not by us, so we cannot change how it behaves.
