I am using Pidgin 2.7.3, Pidgin-Sipe 1.9.0 with Ubuntu 10.10.
Every few days the Pidgin client will enter a state where it sends/receives an excessive amount of data. No chats, video calls or other thing sare taking place at the time. It seems to be random and not triggered by any event.
If I close and open the client application, the problem goes and does not return. Or, if I disconnect and reconnect to the network then the excessive traffic ceases and does not return.
You can see the traffic at my router stops as soon as the Pidgin client is shut down. The spike is when the client is re-opened, and the excessive ongoing traffic does not re-occur.
