Hi, Where can I find the setup wizard spec, if any? I'm going to implement it. = I'm playing with some library and I think I can pull it off. If there's no spec, what should happen in the setup wizard? Another thing, I reimplemented settings to make it filesystem agnostic.=20 I'm not going to commit the changes (wizard and settings) until Monday morn= ing (or probably not committing until I can demo it on Monday). cheers, =2D-=20 Jan Alonzo <jma...@un...> |

hi thanks for the preferences stuff, i'll try it out soon. can you create a nice splash screen for the entire sink (not just video init) (should say something like "sink is launching .. connection to jabber server...") and one for just displaying the local video image (probably similar to the video init splash screen). michael -- Weitersagen: GMX DSL-Flatrates mit Tempo-Garantie! hi i know that this is something like the 10th message i'm posting on this list today, but there's just so much to do / say / record (mailing list archives). but please feel free apply a filer, if you haven't already done so :-) there's a few thing we _need_ to do until the 8th of june and some things that are rather optional. must: - create preferences gui (william is working on this right now) - create gui for add buddies (jan is working on this right now) - create gui for remove buddies (jan is working on this right now) - create gui for log on / log off - make chat classes retrieve external ip (we should probably all google for it) - create ugly splash screen (actually that's already done. but it's _really_ ugly.) - create windows installer (michael volunteered for that) - create user docs (has been started on our website) - update design docs (in progress) - prepare final hand in docs - disable 'video chat' buttons when video chat is in progress (easy) optional: - create wizard (william is working on that) - create nice splash screen (william vonlunteered for that) - add registering functionality - create gui for stop video chat would be cool, but is not going to happen: - multiplex audio and video stream - presence notification request handling - splash screen which disappears only after sink has launched - splash screen which can display progress information (eg. 'connecting to foo') if you know of any additions or have other comments, please feel free to reply (actually you are encourged to make comments). michael -- email: mic...@gm... website: http://propirate.net/mike/ |

hi jan i fixed the problem with buddies being markes as online or offline. to be a bit more precise, i fixed the swing problems. another problem is jabber related: when using jabber it is not enough to have a buddy on the buddy list to know if this buddy is offline or online. in order for buddy A to see if buddy B is online or offline buddy A needs to request 'presence notification' from buddy B. buddy B needs to authorize that request. i worked around it by logging onto the tafe jabber server with gaim and requesting 'presence notification' and authorizing that. for sink though i don't think we should implement that. we don't have enough time for that for demonstration purposes we just need to set up jabber account which have already requested 'presence notification' and authorized it. michael -- Weitersagen: GMX DSL-Flatrates mit Tempo-Garantie! hi william if you want to check out the most recent sink, you can download it from our website. i manually created a cvs snapshot. but since we are constantly changing the code, it would still be a good idea to contact me or jan for a recent copy if you want to modify classes. by the way: did you know that there is a sink cvs mailing list which keeps you up to date with source code changes. that list has existed for a quite a while now and has been posted on this list already. if you are interested you can subscribe at "http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=131203". michael -- Weitersagen: GMX DSL-Flatrates mit Tempo-Garantie! hi william the splash screen is done (could of course be imporved, but anyway it works). we just need a nice image for it now. we also need a button enabling us to display the local video image when we want to. i just put a very dodgy one on the buddy list window to test functionality. micgael -- Weitersagen: GMX DSL-Flatrates mit Tempo-Garantie! hi william I thought of more gui stuff that we need: - a gui way of stopping the video chat (the 'video' button in the text chat window could change to 'stop video' and the 'init video chat' option in the pop up menu could chagne to 'stop video chat' when a video chat is in progress. i know that this is a lot that i'm asking from you. by what time do you think can you have all that done? i think the wizard should have the lowest priority at the moment. michael -- Weitersagen: GMX DSL-Flatrates mit Tempo-Garantie! hi > I will be working on the setup wizard from home. If there is anything > urgent that needs to be done by me please let me know and I will attend to it. michael's wishlist: - preferences dialogs - add buddy dialog - remove buddy dialog - online / offline marking of buddies on buddy list - wizard - splash screen if you want to do any work on classes of yours that are in cvs, you will need to contact me or jan to get a recent copy (unless you want to check them out with cvs). there have been major changes in most classes. i just fixed some bugs this morning: we can now video and text chat with sink. hope you get better soon. michael -- 5 GB Mailbox, 50 FreeSMS http://www.gmx.net/de/go/promail +++ GMX - die erste Adresse für Mail, Message, More +++ |

Hi, The following issues were resolved during the code session this afternoon, = 29th May 2005, from 12pm to 3pm. * Chat window popping up only once. * ClassCastException when buddy presence changes. * Initial text message not included when chat window pops up. * TextChatWindow and BuddyListWindow should be public. * Wrong was buddy was assigned when TextChatWindow initializes. * BuddyListWindow is not extending MainViewAdapter anymore. Only BuddyListController.=20 * Buddy and account name are now included in the text messages in the chat window. The following issues needs to be resolved in the next couple of days. * Media request. * Buddy IP resolution. =20 That is all. Cheers, =2D-=20 Jan Alonzo <jma...@un...> |
