more than welcome discussion around these parts! while the IWMComponent
development hasn't been a priority for a minute (or three), it's not being
ignored. what really needs to be done is get some sort of finalization on
what the whole IWMComponent subclass/protocol scheme should be. i want the
thing to be as simple & powerfull as possible, so that we can roll out
components to extend the functionality easily and quickly. good code is
almost always deceptively simple, and i'd like to keep iwm that way...
BTW. The reason why I'm CC these messages to linuxstep and interfacewm
mailing list is because this topic is applicable to all of us, if this
is not ok, please say..
If I do write (or extend) this Dock.app, there will have to cooperation
with interfacewm development to get it right. We need to discuss and
agree on how to do the DO messaging. I have not looked at interfacewm
code for a few months, is there any DO code in it right now which
handles this stuff?
