The subject says it all. I noticed that a domain that is homed on my host
wasn't passing. At first I thought it was just that the domain wasn't
being checked on SPF pass, then I noticed that it wasn't a FAIL, it was a
Authentication-Results: prime.gushi.org from=wrin@...;
The SPF record in question was:
wrin.net. 360 IN TXT "v=spf1 mx include:mail2web.com ~all"
(short TTL while I'm tweaking)
My question is, since mail2web doesn't PUBLISH an spf record, would this
cause a permerror. The spf.pobox.com setup tool says "if your isp
publishes an SPF record you can use include", but I wasn't sure if the
behavior in the ABSENCE of an spf record on an INCLUDE is defined at all.
Regardless, I've reset it to be:
wrin.net. 360 IN TXT "v=spf1 mx mx:mail2web.com ~all"
Let's see if that fixes the permerror.
