When the logging option has been selected, currently
all SMFIS_REJECT cases are logged. Could we have an
option to turn off the syslogging of SMFIS_REJECT
rejections?

Just curious, why do you want to log all cases except
rejections? Seems to me they're the most interesting.

In our production environment, on a daily basis many
thousands of messages are bounced either by sendmail or
other software we run. By default we do not want to log
bounced messages. However when analysing issues, having an
option to turn on such logging is useful.

Can you include a sample message?

I just went through the code and I think all of the calls to
syslog() are only done to report errors or other processing
    problems, not policy-based rejections.

Sorry for the confusion. The cases I require optional
logging for are the two syslogs for "can't determine
    responsible domain". Thanks
