Fixed latest Yahoo page format change resulting
in "[Add to My Favorite Theaters]" being inserted
instead of the address. AM/PM now works. Asterisks are
appended for bargain show times.

Clear the cache directory before running.

Special note for those with strict firewalls: either run
getdata.pl (requires the Perl environment) or run
getdata.exe via a .bat file that sets the environment
variable PAR_TEMP to a short string like "partemp". If
getdata.exe is run without this setting it uses a
different temo directory name each time which results in
firewall permission dialogs.

Files included in this patch:
getdata.pl
getdata.exe
yahoo.pm
getdata.cfg

Addendum: This website will not allow patches greater than
255K to be uploaded so the patch is not attached to this
thread. I will be posting the patch file elsewhere tomorrow
(4/16) and placing a link to that location here.

I don't see any files included. Where can I get the actual
    patch?

AM/PM is now fixed, and everything else works great. Thanks

Dawn of the Dead and Starsky and Hutch are still comming up
as the wrong IMDB descriptions 1978 and 1975 movies instead
of the modern 2004 versions. Is there any way to fix this?

The IMDb lookup logic is known to have some difficultly
finding titles for which there are multiple matches. There is no
known fix or workaround at the moment. It will be looked at
    soon. We have some ideas.

exe is compiled with par. Any way of creating a real exe ?
The problem is that with programs like ZoneAlarms, it detects
it as a brand new program. every time it's run...

On the other hand, the conduit version does not work directly
with getdata.pl. A dos window spashes and no output is ever
    presented...

    TIA...

The reason you get an alarm each time is because the PAR
system is unpacking all of the components into a temp
directory with a unique name each time it runs. You can
override this behavior by adding an environment variable: "set
PAR_TEMP=partemp" before getdata is run. To accomplish
this you can either create a .bat file which defines the
variable and then launches getdata.exe, or you can create
the variable in one of the Windows startup configuration files.
On Windows XP you can access user and system variables by
clicking Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click
System. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables. It
isn't a pretty solution and I am looking at better solutions. If
you are interested in beta testing such a solution, please e-
    mail me at kjonesSPAM@NONEzorvek.com.

This doesn't work at all for me. After about 3 minutes, it
    times out with:

    Processing URL 1 of 3
    Yahoo Parser Version 2.02

    GETDATA.PL ERROR:
    GETDATA.PL ERROR:
    GETDATA.PL ERROR:
GETDATA.PL ERROR: Error retreiving web page! Make sure you
    are connected to the
GETDATA.PL ERROR: internet and that the $URL variable
    contains a valid URL.
GETDATA.PL ERROR: If you are behind a firewall or are using a
    proxy, please
GETDATA.PL ERROR: configure the proxy settings.
    GETDATA.PL ERROR:
    GETDATA.PL ERROR:
    GETDATA.PL ERROR:

    LWP returned:

500 Can't locate object method "configure" via
    package "Net::HTTP"

    Press return to continue...

I'm running WinXP with SP1. I am behind a firewall, although
this has never posed a problem with Showtimes before. I did
add the environment variable mentioned herein.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
