I've written README and INSTALL files that file contain information on how to get this system up and running.
Show the vote can be used - its only a prototype LAMP based system.
I will do some rudimentary documentation for it.
A friend of mine told me that they were going to put on an event that was a bit like "Britains got talent " for kids and they were going to use powerpoint to display the crosses using a video projector. Well that got me thinking - I could have a webpage looking at a mysql table that was updated from a judges console and hey presto you've got a voting system. I got that to work, and have used it in a live environment. But using http refresh is a really poor way of doing this - for all sorts of reasons. Then I thought - I have written simple text based servers in python for relaying information using broadcasts, why not pull together a project to write the system so that it can be run by non techies on windows or linux, I am sure lots of youth groups and Pub quiz nights, open mic evenings etc. could have a lot of fun using it.
