i can say that the following are working :
Ubuntu >= 10.04
Debian >= 5
Centos 5.5
Redhat 5.5
Centos 6
RedHat 6

Fedora is curently supported by packagers (see hvad on irc.freenode.net #shinken)

I have tested them and there is a script that resolv all dependencies in the contrib/alternative-installation/shinken-install
the script is shinken.sh and it is actively developped and still in beta version.

all you have to do is to execute shinken.sh and start shinken. (and install nagios-plugins)

if you have good knowledge in freeBSD (i don't have any knowledge in freebsd) i will be really happy implement suport of freebsd in the script.

cheers

Objet: [Shinken-devel] Official support OS

Good day.

I've been trying for months to get shinken working under freeBSD as
this is one of our allowed OS's.
I don't have the time to fix things as I find them anymore.

Waht are the official supported OS's for Shinken so I can assure my
colleagues that implementing shinken on a Distro x, Version y, is a
known working configuration and will continue to work as a supported
platform.

The wiki mentions :

Ubuntu
Debian
Fedora
RedHat
Centos

But not which versions are known to work or is supported.

I'd really like to use shinken as it fits our needs very closely, but
I need to know that it's going to work and keep working on a platform.

Regards
Henti
