Hi Andy, I have added you to the developer list -- welcome aboard! You will probably want to checkout the cvs repository and start setting up the project. You can use your sf.net developer id to do this: cvs -d:ext:[username]@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/sharpschedule co sharpschedule Once you get this checked out you should open a commandline prompt and navigate to the project build folder. I have setup a simple GUI application that you can use to do this or you can use the command line. The GUI basically just runs NAnt commands but is handy for getting going. To set this up just: 1) nant InstallBuilder RunBuilder 2) click Edit --> Build Config --> Local Settings - this will pop up a text file and you basically just want to set the deploy directory - NOTE: You may also need to set the computer name (replace the sys.env.COMPUTERNAME) 2) click the Setup button. =20 If you prefer the commandline you can: 1) Copy the schedule.local.xml.example to schedule.local.xml 2) change the properties as noted in step 2 above 3) run (from the build folder)=20 nant setup Both will do the following: 1) build the project 2) deploy (copy) files to the directory specified in your local properties file 3) install cassini web server into the GAC 4) (re)install the builder application, set a shortcut 5) download msde database 6) install database in deploy path (NOTE: User interaction required for this, choose the default unpack location) 7) run create scripts on the database The last run through was mostly painless but if you run into problems please drop me a line. Cheers, Clayton |
