The SHARD triple-store is intended as a proof-of-concept demonstration of the ability to construct a highly scalable triple-store using MapReduce style computing. SHARD is released under the BSD license.

As part of the SHARD repository, I am releasing several files and directories:
-> build.txt contains information about how to build SHARD once it is downloaded.
-> overview.txt contains background information on the SHARD triple-store and how it works.
-> SHARD_0_18/SHARD/ contains the source code for SHARD to run with Hadoop v0.18
-> SHARD_0_18/UniversityDataGenerator/ contains the source code to generate sample n3 data to test SHARD.

NOTE: SHARD is a proof of concept. Like all triple-stores, it doesn't support all desired functionality. The SHARD dev team is working to improve SHARD and provide more functionality to our users. Please e-mail us if you have any requests, questions or comments. We love to hear from our users!
