how to set up command line to get ultra compr

  • Hi,

I am trying to set up comman line of 7z.exe to get the same ratio like using GUI. I just can't make it.

    In gui I got
    - arichive format - 7z
    - Compression lever - ultra
    - c. method - LZMA
    - dictionary size 48MB
    - word size 64

could anybody translate that to command line?
    thanx a lot!

    • This is easy since everything except the dictionary size is a default.  You need

      7za a -mx=9 -m0d=48m ....

      • thank you but
        "c:\Program Files\7-Zip\7za.exe" a -t7z 7zexe.exe *.* -mx=9 -m0d=48m -m9=LZMA -sfx7z.sfx

gives me "cannot allocate requirec memory. The settings  I use in GUI that I wrote works fine ....

      • "G:\Program Files\7-Zip\7za.exe" a -t7z 7zexe.exe *.* -mx=9 -m0d=48m -sfx7z.sfx

GUI gives me HUGE difference in the packed file :-(
