From searching a few 100 posts, I found one about 7z not showing up in context menu (Vista x64, for me) - if they didn't install the 7z 64 bit version, if running a 64 bit OS?
Can that be true? I uninstalled the previous 9.20 ver & installed 9.22 32 bit in Vista x64. Didn't show up in context menu, even after running it in admin mode. Options to add to context menu are checked. I can open 7z & run it, just doesn't show in context menu.
I've seen very few 32 bit apps (for several yrs now) that won't install & run just fine on my 64 bit OS.
My God, it must be true. Just uninstalled the 32 bit ver & installed 64 bit ver. Showed up in context menu.
It's great if the 64 bit ver works well, but most times / apps, it doesn't matter if u install 32 / 64 bit version on 64 bit OS. Half or more of 64 bit versions of freeware don't work correctly. Devs will often say, "Try the 32 bit - it's more stable."
I also saw someone suggest in a 6 mo. old post, that a note about the correct version & context menu issue or "system requirements" be added to home page & d/l page. That hasn't happened.
