  • I have been testing the new standalone 7za.exe with some of my batch files - everything seems to be working except for the recurse subdirectories. If I do not include the switch or if I put in -r- it still goes ahead and updates the subdirectories as well. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Syntax was changed. Now you must add such switch:
      -x!*\

    • Thanks Igor - that works fine and I think is more logical. Very pleased with the new release - especially the fact that it now skips locked files. If I am updating an archive it actually removes the locked file from the archive - it would be great I think if the file was left in the archive under these conditions. Particularly like the built in splitter - saves me carrying round another program for that. Thanks again for all your hard work on this project.

Now 7-zip can not do it. It decides to remove file before it knows that file is locked.

    • That's fair enough.
