I get this when trying to zip files with the .7z format. I have tried it on fast and slow, and different files, but it keeps saying "unspecified error"
XP Pro, SP1, Athlon XP 2100, 1gb ram. I dont know what else you want to know, just ask.

I've been recieving the same error ever since I made the change from 4.10b to 4.12b, actually the first time i used the .7z format in 4.12 it worked, but now it shows that error.
Also I tried using different parameter, which didn't work, also I tried removing files from a 7z archive (I think it was solid), it didn't work, and finaly I tried extracting from a 7z archive and 7-zip came up with errors on 2 of the files.
However my entire system has been slow lately so it may just be my computer.
2.8 GHz Intel pentium 4, 512 mb ram, xp pro sp2.

Check your RAM:
1) 7-Zip Benchmark in 7-Zip File manager
2) Memtest86
3) Memtest86+
