7-Zip crashes, when I try to archive something with the following configuration:
Archive Format: zip
Compression Method: LZMA
Password: anypass

Environment: Windows 7 x64 + 7Z 9.20

It's not hard to reproduce the bug, just play around with the "Dictionary Size", "Word Size" settings.

I tried the steps on the video and couldn't reproduce the problem.

    7-zip version: 9.20 x64.
    Windows 7 x64.

    Hi,

I have a similar issue. 7-Zip always crashes if I try to use LZMA compression method and AES-256 encryption method together. It works if either LZMA or AES-256 is not selected.

    Configuration:
    - 7-Zip: 9.20 x64
    - Windows: Windows 8 x64
    - CPU type: Intel Core i7-2860QM

AES-NI instruction set is enabled and works fine according to TrueCrypt tests.

This is still happening. I reloaded v9.20 then tried v9.38b both for 64bit on fully updated Windows 7. Both will create PW protected 7z files. I've captured the relevant windows. (see attachments)

If there is something I can do to assist please let me know.

    Thanks for report!

There is BUG for combination: ZIP / LZMA / AES / CPU with hardware AES-NI instructions.
I suppose that 7-Zip 15.00 alpha doesn't contain that BUG.
    Please check 7-Zip 15.00.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Are you asking me to test 15A? If so, where do I find this alpha version?
