argh. I am admitting my lack of knowledge about Make, configure, and autoconf. I can optimize the crap out of altivec, I dan't get it to even start to compile.
Please email me to help with some links about how to work autoconf, how to modify configure and autoconf based on for which processor/OS you are compiling, and (the real need) how to get all this to work so that I can customized the file list to be compiled... and get it to actually START to compile.
It is making it past the configure phase. Making in the main directory and in the client directory is replying:
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
Any clues how to proceed?

never mind, I just forgot the boinc project in the parent directory. DUH!
