Sesame 0.95

Version 0.95 is the "API-revision release". The RDF model classes
and the SAIL API have undergone a major revision, making them
more up-to-date with the current specs.

Further changes include performance optimizations for SeRQL
queries, configurable inferencing, and RDF Schema inferencing for
in-memory repositories. Please see the Change Log for more info.

Sesame 0.9 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. New in Sesame 0.9 are the SeRQL query language, an improved graphical configuration tool, simplified server configuration, improved logging, updates to the RDF parser, and more.

IsaViz-plugin for Sesame 0.1 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. IsaViz is visual authoring tool for RDF. The IsaViz-plugin for Sesame allows you to read and write RDF data in IsaViz from/to a Sesame server directly. Version 0.1 is the very first version of this plugin.

Sesame 0.8 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. Release 0.8 updates Sesame to the latest round of W3C RDF spec revisions (including support for literal datatypes and list-style containers), features performance improvements and bugfixes, a faster RDF parser and a new graphic configuration tool.

Sesame 0.7 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. Sesame release 0.7 further improves querying and upload performance, fixes bugs and has several interesting new features.

New features include:

  • Support for reading and writing N-Triples and N3 in both server and

Sesame 0.6 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent
storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. Version 0.6
is the first release that includes the Ontology Middleware
Module extensions by OntoText. These extensions include
advanced features like change tracking, security and partial
DAML+OIL reasoning.

Sesame 0.5 released

Sesame is a scalable, modular, architecture for persistent storage and querying of RDF and RDF Schema. Version 0.5 is a "performance improvement/bugfix" release, which is significantly faster and more stable than the previous release.

New versions of Sesame server and client library

Today, version 0.3 of the Sesame server software,
and version 0.2 of the client library were
released. The server software has undergone quite
some changes. The client library was extended with
one method to accomodate for a new option for the
Sesame's RDF Export module.

Sesame client lib released

Today, the first version of the Sesame client lib was released. The client lib can be used by Java clients to communicate with Sesame over HTTP.

The client lib currently supports:
- sending RQL queries
- extracting RDF
- uploading of data
- clearing a repository

Sesame Open Source release

We are very proud to announce the Open Source release of Sesame, the RDF and RDF Schema Storage and Querying service, under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).

Sesame was originally developed by Aidministrator Nederland b.v.
