Hi all, Version 2.2.1 of Semantic Forms has been released. Changes in this version include: - The awesome #autoedit functionality that was added in SF 2.2 is now available via the MediaWiki API as well, using the new "sfautoedit" action. The addition of this "RESTful" approach means that editing of template calls can now be easily done by any sort of script or bot, in any language. Thanks to Stephan Gambke for this exciting new feature. - You can now restrict editing of a particular field to a specific user group, instead of just to administrators, by using the new "restricted=group-name" syntax. Thanks to Stephan Gambke for this feature as well. - There was a bug, with the "textarea with autocomplete" function, where HTML from the form showed up within the textarea, at least for some browsers. This has been fixed. - Handling of quotes within values was fixed for the "combobox" input. - The declaration of the 'sfUserCanEditPage' hook was fixed, so that it can now work correctly with the HaloACL extension. I'm told that this was the last patch needed so that SF can work off-the-shelf with the SMW+ package. - Some early support was added for the Page Schemas extension, by Ankit Garg. Page Schemas hasn't been released yet - it's an extension being developed right now by Ankit as part of the Google Summer of Code, in a project for which I'm the mentor. You'll be hearing more about it later, though! Also, there was some general restructuring of the SF code, done by both me and Stephan. For more information, and to download the new version, see the SF homepage: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Semantic_Forms -Yaron |

One more important addition in SF 2.2.1 that I forgot to mention: the values of all parameters within {{{field}}} tags in the form definition are now parsed by the MediaWiki parser, so they can include parser functions and the like. This feature was again added by Stephan Gambke. -Yaron On Fri, Jul 29, 2011 at 5:09 PM, Yaron Koren <ya...@wi...> wrote: > Hi all, > > Version 2.2.1 of Semantic Forms has been released.
