Message-ID: <4A8...@mo...> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Hi, Sorry, my last message was a little short... I have two problems: The first one is with floating point numbers. The decimal separator have an additional space like this: "5 .48652" (5 .48652 in the page source code). The plain format has no effect. The problem can be viewed online at: http://wiki.culture-langues-lorraine.org/Test The second one is with the link "more results" at the bottom of the table: The Special:Ask doesn't found a result. The inline query is and if I edit the query in the special page, I found : Cat?gorie:Communes Commune lorrain::_. The "+" is replaced with "_". Version of SMW used: 1.4.2 Version of MW used: 1.15.1 Server setup used: PHP 5.2.6 (cgi), MySQL 4.0.27 The problem is not reproducible on a test page on the sandbox site. Message-ID: <55d...@ma...> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" On that note, I just discovered this video on YouTube of a talk by Brion Vibber, the lead developer of MediaWiki, at FOSDEM in March of this year; I was surprised to see him spending a few minutes of it talking about Semantic MediaWiki (see 21:18 - 23:38): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ukytqe9pwDM It's very heartening to see, because he says SMW has a lot of potential usage on Wikipedia, and "we would love to be able to actually start integrating this". He also mentions SMW's "form editors", for what it's worth. He talks about an initiative to do scalability testing of SMW for Wikipedia coming "in the next few months"; which is I think is the thing that Markus is talking about. So the interest is there, which is of course a key prerequisite. -Yaron On Wed, Aug 5, 2009 at 1:54 PM, Markus Kr?tzsch < ma...@se...> wrote: > On Mittwoch, 5. Message-ID: <269...@we...> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hey, Both the 0.3 version for Maps [0] and Semantic Maps [1] have been released. This new release features a lot of new features (esp. in Maps), under the hood improvements and some bug fixes. You can find the list of changes on the extensions version history pages [2, 3]. The documentation of both extensions has also been given a big overhaul, and should now be more comprehensive and complete. You are recommended to upgrade as soon as possible. This also applies for people still using Semantic Google Maps, Google Geocoder or Semantic Layers, which have been replaced by Maps and Semantic Maps. In any case, I have now included the PDF version into the pages of semantic-mediawiki.org, so that users browsing this site can find the PDF more easily. -- Markus On Freitag, 14.
