I'm using a format=template in query results to display titles and links
a certain way. [**]
So I made http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Template:SMW_display_release-oneline
that outputs one row of wiki table markup.
But I want the table to appear in the attractive class="smwtable"
appearance. SMW doesn't emit a link to
/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/skins/SMW_custom.css if you use your own
I can add a dummy SMW query to the same page to get the CSS link, but
SMW is so smart that it only emits a link if the dummy query actually
generates a table!
I know there are lots of ways to fix this from PHP or manipulating site
CSS, but is there a workaround from wiki markup?
I think SMW format=table should still respect template=xyz. You would
still be able to specify how each column appears (many would be blank), thus
|?Build number=[[Property:Build|#]] (click for release)
|?Download URL= <!-- no column, template combines it with Build-->
SMW would print the table headings and the CSS link, but leave each
table row to the template.
Thanks indeed for any suggestions,
[**] As I e-mailed before, if SMW supported special [[Property:Has
format]] for properties and/or generalized the existing inline query
support for "units" to "value formatting", users would not need to give
up the features of SMW's built-in query formats for minor adjustments to
