I am seeing the autocomplete list scrolled offscreen. To reproduce what I am seeing: On this page<http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/File:Santa_Fe_locomotive_approaching_El_Paso_1935.jpg>, edit with form. Scroll down so that the field State/Province is in mid screen and type "texas". You will notice that autocomplete is anchored to the upper left corner of the very beginning or the artice even though this position is scrolled offscreen. Much of the list is not visible. Expected behavior: The entire autocomplete list is visible. This is true for both IE8 and Firefox 3.0.13, as well as other wikis hosted by wikia (eg: government.wikia<http://government.wikia.com/index.php?title=Form:Sandbox&oldid=50691> ). Is this some sort of conifiguration error on Wikia? Is SF anchoring to an html entity with some class or name? If so, please provide an example, or feel free to hack either of these examples. Neither are in wide use. Thanks -Phlox |

Hi, I just looked into this, and indeed the autocompletion values in Semantic Forms show up in an odd place across seemingly all the SF-using Wikia sites. The culprit seems to be an extension called "StaticChute", which redefines the CSS for some of the YUI classes that Semantic Forms uses (YUI is the Javascript library used for autocompletion). I can't find any information about StaticChute, so my guess is that it's a Wikia-only extension. You can see the relevant CSS file here: http://genealogy.wikia.com/extensions/wikia/StaticChute/?type=css&packages=monaco_css It's probably worth notifying the Wikia people about this problem, and to see if there's a way to resolve it... -Yaron On Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:10 AM, Phlox <mak...@gm...> wrote: > I am seeing the autocomplete list scrolled offscreen. > > To reproduce what I am seeing: On this page<http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/File:Santa_Fe_locomotive_approaching_El_Paso_1935.jpg>, > edit with form. Hi everybody, given the following setup I am looking for a comfortable (form based ;-)) way for the users to edit pages. I have something called Projects. And these projects may have certain Persons that are partners for these projects. I want to add the Persons on the project side as one person can be partner in several projects. Of course both (project and person) do have forms, categories, semantics. Given I have a project PRJ and two persons P1 and P2 I (as the geek in the team) would edit the wiki page inserting something like " == Partners == * [[has partner::P1]] * [[has partner::P2]] " But my less wiki-stable colleagues do not like this approach. As I have a single page per person it is not an option to add the Person-Form to the Project Form (using "multiple") as this would create new person on the project page. My question is, if there is some extension (or some way to use SemanticForms) to achieve what I need (add semantic information to page without having to edit the wiki-code). Any ideas, hints, ...?
