Can you try running the ask query outside the template, but filling in the values as you think the template should be filling them in, and see if you still get the same error. IME templates can hide syntax errors... although it seems strange that you see this after an update. also dumb, but just run the part that selects on the first property also ('sniffed') and check that you get the result you expect. also.... check that the separator template is returning what you expect.
