Hi,

If you don't mind, please add the following line to your main LocalSettings.php file:

$wgShowSQLErrors = true;

...and then write back to the list with the specific SQL error that shows up on that page.

Hi - I'm new to Semantic Mediawiki and am just in the process of setting up
my system.  So far, Mediawiki itself has installed OK (using MySQL and
Apache in the background) and seems to be working fine.  V1.0 of Semantic
Mediawiki also appears to have been installed OK.  I can certainly create
annotations as required, with the results visible in the factbox.  The
database itself has a number of smw_ prefixed tables, which appear to
contain the expected content.

However, if I try to use Semantic Search or <ask>, I'm mostly getting the
following message:

-------------

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the
software. The last attempted database query was:

    (SQL query hidden)

from within function "SMW::getCategoryTable". MySQL returned error "1044:
Access denied for user 'wikiuser'@'localhost' to database 'wikidb'
(localhost)".

---------

I say 'mostly' because if I try a query asking for just [[Category:+]], then
that delivers the expected result.  Anything else (say, [[Category:Staff]])
fails.

So, I'm finding it hard to understand why the wiki, in general, is happy to
populate the Db tables, but has a access problem when attempting semantic
queries.

Can anyone offer any assistance?  I'm running out of ideas.  :-((
