Snort.org

Joel Esler + Kevin Johnson have planned a brainstorming meeting for the BASE project for June 1st 2005 at approximately 1900 EST (7 PM). The meeting will take place on IRC, freenode.net in the #secureideas room. They plan to iron out what the goals are for the project and see if they can't get some more people interested in working on development.

They are even hoping to have Marty and Matt Watchinski there, if they can coax them out of their traveling schedules!! (I'll see what I can do to help there)... read more

Maurader IDS

The guys over at WinSnort.com also sell an IDS that they build and maintain. We recently worked out a deal to where the Maurader IDS will now use BASE instead of ACID as the frontend.

Thanks goes to the guys at WinSnort.com!!

Hey everyone, on top of the other things we need, we need a volunteer that is VERY FAMILIAR with ACID/BASE, Snort, PHP, MySQL, and Apache to help us to start documentation. Be prepared to answer user questions (if needed) and get your fingers dirty in some user guides.
