I was thinking we could start working on a couple features for the next
release. I am in the process of doing more of the code conversion to
base from acid as in changing function names. I am also working on
adding the ability to generate PDF files from the reports. I was
thinking that we could also have a set up routine. This would enable
the person to un-tar the files and then access the site in the browser.=20
The index page would recognize that the base_conf.php file didn't exist
and would redirect to /setup/ or something. This page would ask a
couple questions and then build the conf file and the databases. I was
thinking something along the lines of what mambo and other CMS's have
done. We could also let them create the admin user then if they want to
use the auth. system. Any one have any ideas beyond this or comments on
these? Also do I have any volunteers? Maybe someone could look at the
feature requests from the bug tracker.
1) I'd like to have all pages having 'refresh' meta (with
refresh time set in base_conf.php via
$stat_page_refresh_time). Why? when you have many sensors,
and you are going to check some of them on regular basis,
you select them from main BASE page, open each of them in
new window, and - for the time being - you have manualy
refresh pages (or if having mozilla/firefox, you can use
plugins that do that for you). It could be very nice to have
some automatic refreshing....
2) is it possible to set globar order for displaying items?
for instance- sorted by time, descending (newest first)?
reason- like above... Now items are ordered by event number
I don't think 1 makes a lot of sense. maybe have more then the main page
refresh but all seems like overkill. But 2 sounds interesting. We
could expand it to also enable the display or disable the display of
By the way, congrats Keith on getting your internet back!<grin>
