I'm having problems to see the 'Most recent 15 Unique Alerts'. When I click in the link at the Base web page, the following error is displayed:
Database ERROR:Database ERROR:Error writing file '/tmp/MYHGUr6S' (Errcode: 28)
So, I have checked the permissions of /tmp directory and it seems that's ok (777). At mysql log file in '/var/log/mysqld.log' I can see some errors like these:
[root@snort /]# tail -f /var/log/mysqld.log
071114 18:35:51 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071114 18:37:19 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071114 18:41:51 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071114 18:45:02 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071114 18:47:58 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071114 18:51:09 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
071116 9:52:39 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Sort aborted
Base version: 1.3.8
Do have any ideia?
Thank you in advance,
It sounds like there is a problem with MySQL. More then likely, your /tmp file system is full.
Thank you for your reply Kevin.
What problem do you think that mysql database has?
I have checked the size of the /tmp directory but it's ok:
/dev/mapper/rootvg-tmplv 496M 19M 452M 4% /tmp
I looked around a little more on the Internet and it appears that this is a common problem, that no one I can find has solved. Most of the people reporting the issue have then reported the problem went away but they didn't do anything to fix it. I would recommend posting in the MySQL forums or a bug report with them.
Of course, we could always try the Windows solution and reboot or restart the MySQL daemon?
