#138 unable to mass copy/move alerts

At the bottom of each alert listing page, if I select
"Selected" or "Entire Page" the alerts get properly
moved to the archive database. If I try to select
"Entire Query" (which makes sense when one has tens of
thousands of alerts they want to archive at once), the
operation fails and simply reports that:

"No alerts were selected or the Archive alert(s) (copy)
was not successful"

The same problem occurs for either copy or move, but
delete seems to work fine, even with over 100,000
alerts being deleted at once.

What version of BASE are you using?

Are you using IE? We have reports of issues with IE.

Sounds dumb, but could you change $show_rows in base_conf.php and see if
that fixes your problem. We (working with a user) have identified a problem
with this page and IE. Changing $show_rows to 48 fixes the issue.

The funny thing is I am using the latest version of Base
1.2.6, I can move alerts from the Unique Alerts page with
Mozilla but I can't move from the total number of alerts
page, it gives an error in mysql and says "No alerts were
selected or the Archive alert(s) (copy)
    was not successful"

No IE here... Not sure about the other poster.

BASE v1.2.4 is what I've tried most recently.

posted to the dev email list looking for comments on this bug

I have reviewed what Kevin posted to the user, there seems to be at least 2 people that had this problem, and the problem was happening back in BASE 1.2.4 and 1.2.6.

Ok dumb questions time: Is this still happening? Can one of the testers or developers verify that this is still a problem? It seems Kevin identified a problem with IE. Is that problem still there? I would like to document it in our readme. The user seemed to be having a problem in Mozilla also.

I will try and answer my own questions above but would appreciate anyone else chiming in. I will also copy responses into the bug for tracking sake so some of you may get what look like duplicate emails.

Closing due to a lack of verification that the issue is still occurring in current releases.
