When pressure sensitivity is turned on - at least with my Wacom Graphire pad under Tiger - the initial press of the pen against the pad registers as full pressure, but any further movement when the pen is still on the pad has the pressure read correctly. In other words, no matter how softly you're pressing, the first 'blotch' comes out at full darkness.
Oops. I forgot to mention that this was in 0.1.6, though it also happened in 0.1.5.
Thanks for the bug report.
This bug has also been reported by other users and is now an accepted fault. If you don't mind I might contact you later through your SourceForge e-mail with updates to hopefully correct the problem.
The current workaround is to disable multithreaded brush strokes by unchecking the Use multithreaded brush strokes option in Seashore's preferences (see Seashore > Preferences inside the application).
Turning off multithreaded brush strokes doesn't fix it for me-- the first blotch still comes out as dark as possible.
OHmigosh!!!! did i miss Seashorres tablet awareness? wow! okay...this is getting good now.. *gets the popcorn and a big gulp..and.. and.. a cozy blanket*
The good news is I think I fixed this bug last night along with the bug that caused Seashore to crash when blurring images.
Unfortunately it may take a while for the patch with the fix to be released. The other major bugs I am hoping to remedy are:
* Getting Seashore to work with G3's on Mac OS 10.4
* Fixing line drawing when using multithreaded brush strokes
To address the first, I am considering splitting Seashore into G3 and G4/G5 editions.
Thanks everyone for the feedback,
I also hope to look at the rotation bug as well.
Glad to hear all of that. Would be nice though to have some more controls on the wacom, I mean being able to separately switch on/off size, transparency and fore/background color pressure settings.
Anyway, thanks for your good work.
Despite the mentioning of the fix in the changelog v0.1.7rc did not fix the abovementioned problem for me. I'm using a wacom sapphire (CTE-430) on mac mini. Driver version is 4.9.0-2.
I tried multithreaded bush strokes on and off.
But before i forget about it: Thanks for coming so far anyways.
