I think (I know :) ) I found the answer on my problem described in
earlier messages. I found a page at http://www.turbobit.com/mem51.html in
which the whole memory usage is described.
Then I encountered this part of text:
>If you are running out of room, then you have to play games to reuse parts of
>your internal ram that are not being used. If you are not using many bit
>variables(BSEG), perhaps you can reuse some or all of this space. If you
don't >use the three extra register banks then this space can be reused. SDCC
uses a >few techniques to try and optimize this space problem for you, but it
is >ultimately up to you to understand where all your bytes end up.
Could someone 'tell me how to do this all? Some of them can be done with
compiler extensions etc (--stack-after-data, --code-loc, ...). The other???
