This isn't really an SDCC-specific question, as it relates more to the 8052
in general. Is there a way to trigger a capture of timer 2 in software? Will
toggling P1.1 (T2EX) manually cause timer 2's value to be captured? I've looked
in the MSC-51 programmers guide and several books I've got, but can't find an
answer to this.

It should work if you leave the pin open. The setting and clearing of the
port bit is done in read-modify-write cycles, and the resulting level at the
pin should be detected by the edge detection of the 8052.

I submitted a bug report and patch for SDCC on Mac OS X to the
SourceForge bugs list several months ago. The bug is still on the list
and marked as unassigned. Is there some other place I should send
Also, the last release listed on the SourceForge page is 2.3.0 from last
September. Is there a site with more recent releases, or is everything
done through the CVS repository now?
