Thanx for the example hi.c by Karl Bongers
karl@... that comes with SDCC . It has
solved many of my problems !! I think, this program
should get installed automatically along with
sdcc installation . May b in the near future
I was able to compile and run hi.c successfully after
changing the TH1 value to 0xF6 .
But .... i added some other flavour to taste it
differently.... :-)) !
I modified the source slightly. If i do strcpy before
tx_str(my_message) i just get '.' transmitted and
the program comes to standstill after that.
Is there any procedure for using strcpy ??

Yes, RTFM. Considering the nature of your questions I would suggest you
start with "C for dummys" to learn about headerfiles, libfiles, manual files
etc. No offence meant, but learning C is difficult enough without an
embedded target. Borland has a nice free C compiler with
(I think) an IDE and a sourcelevel debugger.
