PIC devices have a configuartion word that resides in (unaccessable)
program memory. I'd like to specify its value in the pic C source. This
seems like the way one would do it:
#define __CONFIG_ADDRESS 0x2007
typedef word unsigned int
const code at __CONFIG_ADDRESS word __CONFIG = 0x3fff;
However, all this does is assign the label __CONFIG to the address of
__CONFIG_ADDRESS within the code segment. The value 0x3fff is ignored.
Is it really there, but not printed in the .asm file? Does anyone know
where I may look in src/ to debug this? OR, is there a better way to
declare stuff in the code segment?
