I'm not registered on that list and others here probably
are. They may even feel more responsible for the PIC
port of SDCC. Anyone willing to relay then?

I think so, allthough I could be missing something too.
I have gputils 0.13.5 installed here from the release
source package on SF (2008-10-27). I unpacked it, ran
'./configure', 'make' and 'make install'. Then I did
'make distclean' on my SDCC svn copy, './configure' and
'make' and the result is that it doesn't know 16f886 and
16f887. A long list of supported PIC14 processors is
displayed and these are not in it. Then it says:
'16f886' was not found.
'16f887' was not found.
So the question is: Are you sure the DCF has the 0.13.5
release or is it maybe something newer from their SVN
repository? Or is something else going on here? When I
look in their repository in gputils/header/ I see
p16f886.inc and p16f887.inc were there already before
the last release.
Any ideas? Greets,
